Engagement theme: Small Grants Fund
SGT Engagement Theme Small Grants Fund
The Scottish Geology Trust aims to inspire people everywhere to understand, love and care for Scotland’s incredible geological heritage and its role in creating a sustainable future. To achieve this, we want to provide opportunities for the public to understand Scotland’s geological story, and improve access to sites where this story can be appreciated. We want to help make connections between geological sites and their contribution to all aspects of life in modern Scotland, from our fundamental understanding of how the Earth works, to future changes to Scotland’s environment and climate.
We are keen to support and work in partnership with organisations and individuals to meet these aims. The SGT Engagement Theme Small Grants Fund will support small interpretation and engagement projects. Priority will be given to grants up to £500 that will result in tangible results within an achievable time frame. We aim to make our application and reporting process straightforward, and respond to all applications within 3 weeks.
There is no application deadline, and applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Applications will be evaluated based on:
1) How fully they meet the aims of the Scottish Geology Trust
2) Feasibility in terms of budget and timing
3) The outcomes, and how a successful outcome will be demonstrated.
We encourage applicants to demonstrate how they meet these criteria in their applications.
To apply, please download and complete the form below and submit by email to Dr Katie Strang (Engagement theme lead) at engagement@scottishgeologytrust.org.
