A informal field trip followed by an afternoon meeting, focused on Local Geodiversity Sites and the recently updated guidance on Establishing and Managing Local Nature Conservation Site Systems. This gathering, organised by the Scottish Geology Trust’s Geosites project and Lothian and Borders GeoConservation, will be an opportunity to gather and discuss local geosites, with a particular focus on how we can support and expand on existing local site networks. It will be of interest and useful to anyone interested in geology based anywhere in Scotland and particularly for people who are in Local Authority areas that haven’t got many, or any, existing Local Geodiversity Sites.
Venue: Slateford, west Edinburgh.
