From Volcanoes to the Vikings and Wallace’s Victory: explore 400 million years of geology and history with a guided walk round the Abby Craig with Dr Murray Cook.
The walk will review the deep geological forces and history that created the most strategic point in Scottish history and explore how invaders and defenders have used the Abbey Craig from the Romans, to the Vikings and Sir William Wallace.
Join us outside Legends Coffee House at 2pm for a guided walk up the Abbey Craig.
Where parking and toilets are available at the coffee house. We’ll follow the path up Abbey Craig, which is a little steep and uneven in places. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the terrain, it isn’t suitable for prams, wheelchairs, or scooters.
