Scottish Rocks, Minerals and Fossils at the Scottish Deer Centre and Wildlife Park

29 September 2024 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

As part of this year’s Scottish Geology Festival, the Scottish Deer Centre and Wildlife Park will be holding a rock, mineral and fossil weekend. In conjunction with the Scottish Geology Trust, a wide range of examples of what can be found in Scotland will be displayed, much of it from local sources. Fossils older than dinosaurs, agates from local beaches and fields and minerals that fluoresce under ultraviolet light.

Volunteers from the Scottish Geology Trust will be available for advice and guidance on Saturday the 28th and Sunday the 29th September from 10am-4pm. Bring your own rocks along for show and tell, or identification.

Excellent parking and disabled access. Easy walking, 200-300 metres, cafe and toilets.

Drop-in event, no booking required. Scottish Deer Centre entry charges apply: Pay what you please.
