Join the GeoBus team on a guided walk to explore local rock and fossil highlights on the Fife coast near Kinghorn!
We’ll wander along the Fife Coastal Path route to explore a range of interesting rock types, features and fossils, including features created when lava cooled underwater.
Meet at Nethergate Play Area, Kinghorn (nearest postcode: KY3 9SY) at 10am. Please note that the public car park on Nethergate is very small, but there is plenty of free on-street parking throughout the village. As you walk downhill on Nethergate, the play area is on your left.
The full guided walk is approximately 5km and will take a maximum of 3 hours, following sections of the coastal path but also going over rocks and along beaches. Your ability to complete the walk is at your own discretion.
This event is free, but booking is essential. Please book your space by e-mailing geobus@st-andrews.ac.uk.
Children are very welcome but must be supervised by an adult at all times.
