Friday Focus: Women On The Rocks – The Hunterian’s Online Talks collection

13 September 2024 @ 1:00 pm - 1:30 pm

- Free

Join curator Katie for this Friday Focus talk where she’ll explore the lost stories and scientific achievements of some of the pioneering women who have contributed to The Hunterian’s collections.

Scotland has been home to many pioneering women geologists whose important work has been instrumental in furthering our understanding of Earth’s processes. Despite this, the history of geology has largely been told through the accomplishments of men, and many women have gone unacknowledged and their contributions have been lost to history.

Friday Focus talks are 15-20 minutes long with time for questions afterwards. Sign up using your preferred email address and you will be sent the Zoom link two hours prior to starting.

Free, booking required: book here
