An opportunity for people to come along and see our core store, learn about the geological history represented by the core material that we have in relation to historical oil & gas operations within the North Sea.
Learn how this core is still relevant today for ongoing research in areas such as CCS and how our aim is to make geoscience accessible to everyone through outreach and by repurposing and redistributing the material that we receive.
The event will include a look at a selection of the best of the material in our collection.
We will be offering two tours of the facility, one starting 13:15 and another at 14:30
