Scottish Mineral and Lapidary Club – Doors Open Day

24 September @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Since it started in 1958, The Scottish Mineral and Lapidary Club has revived and fostered one of Scotland’s traditional crafts. That is the craft of The lapidary. The club is a workshop and meeting place such as was once an integral part of life in the Edinburgh streets and closes throughout the 19th and early 20th centuries, as well as a resource for those interested in Rocks and Minerals. Head along to their workshop in Leith for Doors Open Day to see incredible displays of minerals and agates, and find out how these beautiful stones are cut and polished!

The workshop address is: Quality Yard, 20 Maritime Lane off Constitution Street, Leith EH6 6RZ.

This event is free, no booking required.
