Online Talk – Stories of Scotland: Folklore Forged in Stone

8 September @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

In this online talk, the makers of hit podcast, Stories of Scotland, explore their favourite geologic legends and what they tell us about Highland & Island culture. They’ll examine how the natural environment and the geology inspires folklore and mythology. Why do fairies choose hills as homes? What makes a giant seize a rock as a weapon? What emotions makes a witch transform to stone? The incredible mountains, coasts and caves of the Highlands and Islands each carry their own secret, known by the local community and passed on through folklore.
