Landscape & Geology of Edinburgh – online course

28 April @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

What makes Edinburgh special? How has the city’s landscape been created, and how has it influenced people? We will explore Edinburgh’s geological past, and discover how the landscape has slowly evolved and continues to change. We will consider how geology and landscape has influenced the development of the city. Students will be encouraged to explore their local landscape and greenspace, and report back on what they find.

The course will be taught through online illustrated talks, with plenty of opportunities for questions and discussions. Students will be encouraged to explore local greenspaces and the geology and landscape of Edinburgh, and share their discoveries with the class.

Starts 28 April 2021, 2-3.30pm for five weeks – book at https://www.joininedinburgh.org/activity/17876/
