Guided Walk: The Geology Highlights of St Andrews

11 September 2022 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

- Free

Join the GeoBus team to explore local rock and fossil highlights on the St Andrews coast.

The first few stops on our walk will be within the town, followed by a wander along the Fife Coastal Path to visit the Rock and Spindle, a Geological SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest), noting features on our way. In total, the walk is around 5 miles which will take approximately 3 hours. However, you are more than welcome to join us for only the first section in the town, which will take around one hour. Your ability to complete this route is at your own discretion.

This event is suitable for families. Children are very welcome but must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Please meet at West Sands car park (by the Golf Museum, postcode: KY16 9AB) at 10am.

This event is free but booking is essential. Please book your space by emailing geobus@st-andrews.ac.uk.
