With North West Highlands Geopark Geologist Pete Harrison and Geopark Director Murdo MacPherson
The day will consist of a walk along the coast between Oldshoremore and Sheigra, examining the wide variety of structures within the Lewisian Gneiss of the area north of the Laxford front. It will also investigate the characteristics of the overlying sedimentary Torridonian Sandstone and the nature of any boundaries between the two.
This excursion will be an all day event and the cost is £9 (discounted to £5 for Friends of the Geopark and Ambassadors). Meeting points and time will be given once places are booked.
