Every Pebble tells a story and for Scotland’s Year of Stories come and hear the pebbles talk. Join Aberdeenshire Council Rangers, Scottish Geology Trust Volunteers and NatureScot on our pebble ramble on the beach at St Cyrus National Nature Reserve. Find a favourite pebble or two. What will they tell us about Scotland’s past?
A celebration of everything rocky and pebbly at St Cyrus NNR and beyond, as part of the Scottish Geology Trust’s Geology Festival. This is a joint event between Aberdeenshire Council Ranger Service, Scottish Geology Trust and NatureScot.
Meeting at St Cyrus NNR visitor centre. Lots of geology going on this weekend at the reserve, watch out for details of more geo-activities at St Cyrus NNR.
There are public toilets next to the visitor centre, including two with baby changing tables and an accessible changing places toilet (RADAR key required for access). The visitor centre and car park are wheelchair accessible but the wider reserve unfortunately is not.
