Desert Islands and Hot Rocks! Bressay, Shetland

11am – 1pm approx Guided Walk

Enjoy a guided walk to picturesque Culliesbrough with Archaeologist Chris Dyer. See how Bressay’s early residents made use of the rocks around them and why some of them really were hot!

1.5km Some uneven terrain. Suitable for all ages. Children  under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult

Meet 11am at the end of the Setter track. Transport available from Bressay ferry if required. Call 07921316251 to arrange.


1pm – 4pm Family Fun

Drop-In at Speldiburn Cafe. Get hands on as you discover Bressay’s desert origins through activities and crafts complete with fossils, sand dunes and violent volcanoes!
Wheelchair accessible. Suitable for all ages. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
