Join researchers from the University of Aberdeen and take part in hands-on activities and demonstrations as they showcase research at Aberdeen Science Centre. This event gives future Earth Scientists the opportunity to generate their own earthquake, see a volcanic eruption, and protect a village against tsunamis. Geoscientists from the University of Aberdeen will be on hand to discuss some of the ways geology influences our lives and why it is important to understand the rocks beneath out feet.
Researchers from the University’s School of Geosciences will be joined by scientists from the Industrial Centre for Artificial Intelligence Research (iCAIRD) and STEM poets in this event running alongside Explorathon ’21.
Saturday 18th September 10am – 1pm and 1pm – 4pm
